Alongside his repair career, he is an accomplished brass performer, playing trumpet, trombone, and euphonium at a professional level and remaining proficient on all brass instruments.
DJ spent 12 years touring with Dallas Brass, performing in 48 U.S. states as well as overseas in Russia and Germany. He also performed for more than 20 years with the professional Pit Orchestra at Tuacahn Center for the Arts.
His journey into instrument repair began with a love of tinkering on his own instruments before being offered an apprenticeship opportunity that ultimately shaped his career. Outside of music and repair work, DJ enjoys playing darts and draws inspiration from John Lowe’s legendary televised perfect dart game in 1982, motivating DJ to pursue excellence and discipline in every aspect of life.
